Nolan was 19 days at the time of newborn session. He was so cute and such a good sleeper for me!
This wrapped up shot is my favorite. He looks so good in blue!
Thanks for bring Nolan to visit me. I love what I do and am honored to have your trust.

Meet Kai. She was exactly 2 weeks old at the time of her newborn photography session.
Mom chose to keep her session simple with whites with soft muted blushes and creams. I loved her setups- I mean, who hates neutrals!? Timeless and elegant.
It’s hard to tell in these pictures but, Kai was a nine pound baby! She was so round and full and just absolutely gorgeous.
Her image gallery is one of my favorites ever. Take a peek at some of my favorites from her newborn session:
Headband by Goodnightmooon Props.
Bonnet by Beautiful Ewe. Gosh, I need to get more. Its so fluffy and soft and the fit is just perfect. I’m all about the baby bonnets.
That wrapped up “egg” pose will always be one of my favorites. So simple and pure and just so cute!
I love her black and white images so much! & those lashes!! <3
Thanks for stopping by! If this post can get 20 comments by July 1st, mom and dad will win a set of 5×7 prints so, leave a comment!!
Thanks for choosing me to be your Houston newborn photographer! I appreciate you.
The weather in Houston has been so nice lately- perfect for some maternity photography. While maternity is photographed year round the summer months in Houston can be brutal. Therefore, I keep these sessions are short and sweet. I offer two options: a 7 image or 12 image package. Maternity photography packages are offered as an add on to your newborn portrait package. Details can be seen by clicking here.
I love the colors mom chose for her wardrobe. Very spring time appropriate but while being simple and classic. She opted for two outfits- a floral flowing gown and a fitted lace dress….perfect choices and she was sunning in both!
I can’t wait to meet their little one!
To book your session contact lorena at lorena@lorenajeanphotography. Limited spots available every month.
Being a Houston newborn photographer, I hear lots of baby names. This precious baby girl is the first Tatiana I’ve photographed. I have a cousin named Tatiana and have always thought it was a beautiful and unique name. Fitting for this gorgeous baby girl that I had the pleasure of photographing in February.
She was born at 7 lbs and 3 oz on Jan 31st and is completely perfect. Welcome to the world, Tatiana!
That black and white conversion is one of my favorites!!! Look at that curl on her forehead. Love love love!
This pose, known as the potato sack pose, is one of my favorites. By keeping baby wrapped up snuggly, they stay comforted and its such a great way to draw focus to their faces. Seeing their cute little fingers is just the icing on the cake. This pose is generally done on a flokati rug as it gives great texture and depth while keeping the “magic” underneath well hidden. It is one of my favorites at the moment as you can see by clicking here and here and here and here.
And how gorgeous is she in this muted purple. This bonnet was made by Little Lidz. I’m so glad I ordered it in two colors because it is freaking adorable and most importantly, fits her little newborn head perfectly. I can’t remember where this backdrop is from but, I absolutely love the muted color!!!
Thanks for choosing Lorena Jean Photography as your Houston newborn photographer. With all the options in Houston, it is such an honor to be chosen to document such a precious time in your life. Thank you.
The 6-7 month old age range is one of my absolute favorite phases to photograph. At this age, baby is usually babbling, starting to sit and making eye contact. I honestly feel that this is the jolliest age ever and always encourage parents to book a session to capture this milestone.
Emma was just shy of 7 months. Styling this session was easy as her mom brought in the cutest outfits! This one is from BohoBloomers and man, is it cute!! I love that lace fringe top. Flower headband is from The Dainty Miss.
This was one of the first sessions I photographed on my new wood. I put my husband to work and he set up the most perfect wood floor/wall drop. I have dark wood and cream wood- the perfect combo! I absolutely love the richness of the dark wood!
The cream wood is so classic…..I love it! l
These big bows are from Hello Miss Gorgeous. She’s so graciously sent me an assortment to add to my studio wardrobe. I just love them on babies.
